Gluten Free Almond Flour Tortilla

Make perfect gluten free tortillas at home with almond flour and psyllium husks. Low carb, high protein, and better than store-bought!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Almond Flour
  • 1 cup Warm Water not hot – very important
  • 4 tablespoons Psyllium Husks not powder!
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

Instructions

  • Add the almond flour, psyllium husks, and salt to a medium mixing bowl. Mix everything well until combined.
  • Start slowly adding the warm water (not hot), mixing very well. Allow it to sit for a minute, and then gently knead the dough several times, forming a ball of dough and place it on a kitchen surface.
  • Divide the dough into 2 pieces. Take each and place it parchment paper on top of it. Use a rolling pin to roll the dough thin. Place a dinner plate on top and cut around the edges.
  • Place a large pan over medium heat and add the butter. Once hot, place the tortilla on top. Cook it for 1 minute, then flip, and cook for another 40-50 seconds. Enjoy!
